Investors First Title Agency/JDL Ventures Celebrate Grand Opening and One Year Anniversary in Downtown Somerville
Serving the needs of real estate investors, realtors, attorneys, mortgage brokers and others in the local real estate/investment community.

Somerville Mayor Brian Gallagher cut the ceremonial ribbon and lauded the entrepreneurial energy and importance of small businesses in downtown Somerville’s resurgence at a unique Grand Opening/One Year Anniversary event at 50 Division Street. The Mayor, along with Councilman Thompson Mitchell, representatives of the Downtown Somerville Alliance (DSA), and the family, friends and business associates of Doug Beck and Ken McCarthy, offered both congratulations and a warm welcome to the owners of Investors First Title Agency and JDL Ventures.
Beck, a Somerville High School graduate and Branchburg resident, launched JDL Ventures on a part-time basis in 2014, providing help to motivated homeowners focused on quickly selling their properties to real estate investors. As the company grew, he needed an office space to call "home" to meet with clients and to begin growing a local team.
After much research and consideration, Beck chose the Office Evolution space in downtown Somerville in July 2015 as he launched his real estate investing mentorship program. In 2015, he resigned from his corporate job at Johnson & Johnson to focus on JDL Ventures full-time to take the business to the next level.

Earlier this year, Beck decided to partner with McCarthy to launch Investors First Title Agency to meet the needs of real estate investors, realtors, attorneys, mortgage brokers and others in the local real estate and real estate investment communities. Both agreed that having the office in Somerville right next to JDL Ventures' office was the perfect fit. McCarthy, who brings over 25 years of experience in the title insurance and settlement industry to the new venture, is also an investor and understands the timelines and needs from a title insurance and settlement perspective.
“We recognize Somerville as a great location for our businesses, especially for its transportation access, awesome restaurants, and walkable downtown. The Somerville downtown brings a warm, small town feeling to our companies while also amplifying our company's reputation,” said Beck. “We also want to give a special "thank you" to Ulka and Suhash from Office Evolution for providing and maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment and always serving our needs as our companies continue to grow. We are fortunate to share this space with some amazing entrepreneurs.”
