Japanese Clothing Retailer Will Open at the Commons
UNIQLO wants to expand in United States with its casual clothing lines.
Japan’s leading specialty retailer will be setting up shop at the Bridgewater Commons in the fall.
UNIQLO’s opening at the Commons is part of the store’s plan to expand its presence in the United States.
The expansion will bring UNIQLO’s total amount of stores in the United States to 17. The company is also planning to open a store at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison. UNIGLO already has a store open in the Garden State Plaza in Paramus.
“UNIQLO is ready to take our next step in our U.S. expansion by opening more smaller format and mall stores in the regions surrounding our current flagships stores in the Tri-State and Northern California regions,” said Larry Meyer, chief operating officer of UNIQLO’s USA business.
“Our goal is to continue to build brand awareness for new potential customers, and greater loyalty from our fans, with more convenient access to our high quality clothing and exceptional customer service.”
