Juvenile Charged For Making Threats Against Students In Warren Township

The juvenile has been charged with third-degree terroristic threats and issued a juvenile delinquency summons.

WARREN, NJ — A juvenile has been charged after making threats against Warren Middle School students, announced Warren Township Police Chief Robert Ferreiro on Monday.

On Sunday, Warren Police got reports that a Warren Middle School student had made threatening statements outside of school hours to other students through an online social media platform.

Detectives launched an investigation, identified the juvenile responsible, and determined that the threat was not credible, said Ferreiro.

The juvenile has been charged with third-degree terroristic threats and issued a juvenile delinquency summons. The student's electronic devices were also seized.

Ferreiro urges anyone with additional information related to this incident to contact the Warren Township Police Department at 908-753-1000 or through the STOPit app, which allows for anonymous reports, including photos and videos. The app is available for free on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store using the access code: SOMERSETNJ.
