Kangaroo Kids Assistant Director, Shaun Pidany, Awarded Administrator of the Year!

Shaun Pidany, Assistant Director at Kangaroo Kids Child Care and Learning Center was awarded the Administrative Professional of the Year at the Annual New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children (NJAEYC) Conference at the Meadowlands.

According to Executive Director, Kathy Feigley, “Shaun is an amazing administrator, always professional, helpful and positive and a fantastic role model for children. He willingly helps parents, children and staff members, whether it is a child that needs some special attention, a parent that needs assistance or a staff member that needs to adjust their schedule! He is creative, solution oriented, and always keeping Kangaroo Kids on the cutting edge!”

Shaun has been a valued staff member of Kangaroo Kids Child Care and Learning Center for 17 years. He keeps the school running smoothly and provides endless experiences for children and families. Besides scheduling and day to day operations he also coordinates field trips to extend learning beyond the classroom. He coaches Kangaroo Kids Kicks soccer lessons and teaches swim classes in the summer in the onsite pool.

“Shaun has always been patient, kind, honest and understanding. He has worked with us every step of the way to make certain that our children are happy and their needs are being met. Not only has he been a positive influence in our children’s lives, but he also has become a person that we as parents admire and respect….The fact that a large percentage of the lead teachers and staff are there for five or more years is a true testament to the respect and encouragement they receive from the directors and management staff,” stated Rich and Heather Gawlowski.
