Attempted Murder Charge For Man Accused Of Shooting Bridgewater Woman At Club
Officials say Najir Paige fired multiple shots through the front door of the bar and hurt 3 people, including a Bridgewater woman.

LINDEN, NJ — One suspect has been arrested in connection with a nightclub shooting that injured three people, including a 24-year-old woman from Bridgewater.
Officials say Najir Paige, 27, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 24 in connection with a shooting at Menga Lounge in Linden.

The shooting occurred on Aug. 6, just after 2 a.m. Police said Paige was involved in an fight at the bar, left, and got a handgun from a nearby vehicle.
When Paige returned, police said, he fired multiple shots through the front door of the bar and hurt three people: the Bridgewater woman, a 23-year-old woman from Irivington and a 28-year-old man from Elizabeth. Read more — Bridgewater Woman Injured In Shooting Inside Linden Nightclub

A second suspect, 25-year-old Sharif Evans of East Orange, is also charged for his role in the incident. Evans currently remains at large.
Members of Union County S.W.A.T., as well as the police and the Union County Prosecutor's Office, executed a search warrant at his home. Paige is currently detained at the Essex County Jail pending an appearance in superior court.
