Man Exposed Self, Masturbated In Toy Aisle Of Bridgewater Store: Police

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A man, who police say exposed himself and masturbated while at a business in Bridgewater, was arrested.

Jason Banks, 21, of East Orange, was charged with fourth-degree lewdness in connection with an incident on Aug. 1, at a retail facility on Promenade Boulevard, said Bridgewater Police Chief John B. Mitzak.

On Aug. 1 at around 7:21 p.m., Banks was seen by a victim exposing his genital and gratifying himself in the toy aisle of a retail facility on Promenade Boulevard, said Mitzak.

Police officers got surveillance footage of the suspect and confirmed the victim's account of the event.

On Aug. 8, Bridgewater Detectives found Banks, conducted an interview, and he was arrested.

Banks was charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
