Man Hit By Car While Taking Trash Out In Somerset County

The Warren Township resident was taken to a hospital for his injuries on Sunday night.

WARREN, NJ — A man who was taking out the garbage on Sunday night was hit by a car and hospitalized in Warren Township.

On March 24 at 7:41 p.m., a caller reported they hit a pedestrian who was putting his garbage out on the side of the road, said Warren Police.

Warren Township Police, EMS-20 and Medic 8A1 were called.

The pedestrian a 54-year-old man from Warren was taken to Overlook Medical Center with hip and back pain, said police to Patch.

The driver, a 75-year-old Warren resident, was not issued any summonses.
