Man Urinates On Floor, Damages Raritan Police Headquarters: Cops

Jarius Gillespe, 27, of Somerville was charged with defiant trespass and resisting arrest, said Raritan Police.

RARITAN, NJ — A Somerville man who police say urinated on the floor and damaged police headquarters was charged.

On Jan. 6 at 6 p.m., Raritan Police were called to the Quick Chek on West Somerset Street for trespassing.

Police found Jarius Gillespe, 27, of Somerville, who was acting disorderly and had been previously trespassed from the business, said police.

Gillespe was arrested and taken to police headquarters. At headquarters, Gillespe caused damage to several items and urinated on the floor, said police.

Gillespe was charged with defiant trespass and resisting arrest and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

The Somerville Police Department came to Raritan to help with the incident while Raritan officers were responding to other calls for service.
