Man Wanted For Attempted Sex Assault In Somerset County: Police

SOUTH BOUND BROOK, NJ — A man is wanted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office(SCPO) for an attempted sex assault in South Bound Brook, said authorities.

Javier Moreno was named SCPO's Fugitive of the Month for June 2024.

Moreno is wanted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for one count of second-degree attempted sexual assault, one count of second-degree luring, and one count of third-degree distribution of obscene material all in which occurred on April 26, 2023 in South Bound Brook.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The SCPO released the following information on Moreno:

• Date of birth: 12/25/2000
• Height: 5'10"
• Weight: 125
• Hair: Brown
• Eyes: Brown
• Tattoos: Scar left and right wrists
• Last known address: Middlesex

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Moreno should contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fugitive Unit.
