BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a wanted Bound Brook man who led police in Bridgewater and Franklin on two separate high-speed stolen car chases, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
The public is cautioned not to approach Nigel Hill, 22, of West High Street in Bound Brook, but to instead contact police.
The first chase took place on Feb. 4 when Bridgewater Township Police went to the area of Washington Avenue at about 3:10 p.m. on a report of a suspicious man in the area, Robertson said.

When Bridgewater Police tried to stop Hill, he refused and sped away erratically, Robertson said.
The chase was stopped by police on Washington Valley Road.
The next day at about 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 5 a Franklin Township Police Officer saw the stolen motor vehicle which was involved in the Bridgewater Police pursuit. The vehicle was unoccupied on Parkside Street.
Franklin officers kept the car in sight as they contacted Bridgewater Police. That is when Hill got into the stolen vehicle. Police tried to stop him but he refused while disobeying multiple traffic stop signs, Robertson said.
Franklin Police stopped the chase for public safety. The vehicle went north bound on Route 27.
On Feb. 6 the stolen motor vehicle was found by police in New Brunswick.
Authorities are searching for Hill and are asking the public’s help to find him.
Hill has been charged with two counts of second-degree eluding, third-degree burglary, and is also wanted on a Somerset County failure to appear warrant for receiving stolen property.
