Missing Bridgewater Man Found Dead In Nevada
Matt Kemper had gone missing on Jan. 5 and was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The search for a missing Bridgewater man has come to an end after Matt Kemper was found dead in Lincoln County, Nevada last week.
Kemper, a U.S. Navy veteran and Bridgewater native, was found on Feb. 17 by Red Rock Search and Rescue team, an all-volunteer group, in Las Vegas, Nevada, confirmed Bridgewater resident and Matt's sister Amy Kemper to Patch.
Amy said it was a joint rescue mission with Lincoln County Search and Rescue and Lincoln County Sheriff's Department.

The family is requesting privacy and funeral arrangements will be announced in Somerset County, said Amy.

Kemper, 46, was described as an Asian male, 5-feet-6-inches and 130 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on Jan. 5 at around 10:50 a.m. near the 11000 block of W. Kemper was adopted from South Korea and previously lived in Bridgewater where he graduated from Immaculata High School in Somerville. He then served in the U.S. Navy stationed out of Florida. As a veteran, he has been working for the National Parks Service for more than 15 years - first in Utah and now in Arizona for Glen Canyon Parks in Marble Canyon, said Kemper.
Kemper's sister owns a business in Somerset County and his parents still live in Bridgewater.
