Multiple Incidents Of Drug Use, Fight Reported At Raritan Quick Chek
One Milford man was found to be using heroin in the bathroom of the Raritan Quick Chek, according to the police blotter.

RARITAN, NJ — Multiple incidents of drug use and a fight was reported recently at the Quick Chek in Raritan, according to the police blotter.
Raritan Police Blotter:
On July 28: Anthony Camporeale and Alexander Orr, both 24 and of Flemington were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance as a result of a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.

On July 28: Matthew Shrewsbury, 31, of Milford was arrested for possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia (empty heroin folds) after police were dispatched to Quick Chek for a welfare check. A Quick Chek employee reported a man had been in the bathroom for over an hour. When patrol units arrived on scene, Shrewsbury had opened the door to the bathroom and officers observed a syringe and empty wax folds on the ground that are commonly used to store heroin. Sgt. Thomas Fisher and Officer Evan Vacchiano investigated the incident.
On Aug. 1: Desiree Fusella, 28, of Raritan and Dino Cianflone, 34, of Bridgewater were arrested for a possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic syringe after police were dispatched to the parking lot of Quick Chek on a report of two people using heroin inside their vehicle. Fusella also had a warrant for her arrest out of the Union Township Municipal Court. Officer Kathleen Sausa and Sgt. James Raniere investigated the incident.

On Aug. 4: Bernard Ramos, 37, of Raritan was arrested for simple assault after punching a woman numerous times at a Raritan residence. Ramos was later lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing. Sgt. Everett Holt and Officer Andrew Ragati investigated the incident.
On Aug. 5: Oscar Roman, 45, of Brooklyn and Jaritza Velez, 26, of Brooklyn were arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Route 202 for a disabled vehicle. Sgt. Everett Holt investigated the incident.
On Aug. 5: Keaton Davis, 19, of Raritan and Karon Tindal, 20, of Raritan were arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance after police conducted a property check on the Nevius Street Bridge. Sgt. James Raniere and Officer Robert Sinopoli investigated the incident.
On Aug. 6: Najee Talley, 22, of Bridgewater was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of the Somerville Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Talley was turned over to the Somerville Police Department. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.
On Aug. 7: Daniel Soriano, 19, of Raritan was arrested for simple assault after he punched and knocked down a 41-year-old Branchburg man in the parking lot of Quick Chek. The victim sustained a swollen eye and laceration to his mouth as a result of the assault and was treated at the scene by members of the Somerville Rescue Squad. Officer Robert Sinopoli investigated the incident.
On Aug. 10: Eric Specht, 21, of Branchburg was arrested for criminal mischief after police were dispatched to the area of Thompson Street and Second Street for a fight. Specht was fighting with a woman in the middle of Thompson Street and during the course of the fight he punched out the driver side window of a Toyota belonging to a Manville resident, who was not involved in the altercation. Officer Robert Sinopoli and Officer Kathleen Sausa investigated the incident.
On Aug. 11: Joseph Chauca, 18 of Raritan along with a 17-year-old from Raritan, and a 17-year-old from Bridgewater were arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were investigating suspicious activity in the Canal Street Park. Sgt Thomas Fisher investigated the incident.
On Aug. 15: Candace Sparatta, 35, of Flemington was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, after she was found in possession of a crack pipe and empty wax folds that previously contained heroin, during a motor vehicle stop on Granetz Place. Sparatta also had warrants for her arrest that were issued by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and East Brunswick Municipal Court. Sparatta was later lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.
On Aug. 15: Brian Mejia, 19, of South Bound Brook and Christopher Henry, 23, of Raritan were each arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, failure to turn over CDS, obstruction and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Mejia and Henry each attempted to eat the raw marijuana they were in possession of. Henry also consumed several rolling papers that are used to smoke marijuana. Officer Benjamin Griffin and Officer Andrew Ragati investigated the incident.
