New Farmers Market To Open At Somerset County Shopping Center
The 28,750-square-foot store will replace the former Christmas Tree Shops at Somerset Shopping Center on Route 202/206.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to the Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater, replacing the former Christmas Tree Shops location.
The specialty grocer signed a lease for a 28,750-square-foot store at the Route 202/206 property near the Somerville Circle, according to Levin Management Corporation, which serves as the leasing and managing agent for the property.
Sprouts Farmers Market, which is headquartered in Phoenix, has more than 480 stores in 25 states and employs more than 36,000 team members. The company currently has five stores in New Jersey.

At Somerset Shopping Center, Sprouts will join Barnes & Noble as an anchor tenant.
"This is a game-changing new anchor for Somerset Shopping Center," said Vanessa Kelty, LMC senior leasing representative. "Sprouts Farmers Market is an outstanding addition to the property and exactly the kind of anchor that can elevate a shopping center’s performance. Its presence will enhance the tenant mix, generate strong daily traffic and further strengthen Somerset Shopping Center’s position in the market."

The store had remained vacant, aside from Spirit Halloween pop-ups, since Christmas Tree Shops closed in July 2023.
"Adding Sprouts Farmers Market as a new anchor is a significant milestone for Somerset Shopping Center and reflects the strength of the property and its surrounding trade area," said Matthew K. Harding, CEO of Levin Management Corporation. "A quality grocer can have a transformative impact on a shopping center by driving repeat visits, expanding daily-use appeal and strengthening the performance of surrounding tenants."
Additional details regarding Sprouts Farmers Market’s opening at Somerset Shopping Center will be announced at a later date.
The lease follows other recent additions at the shopping center. D1 Training has been announcedand is coming soon. Boot Barn, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Strand Salon Studios and Style Brow Bar all opened in 2025.
Leasing opportunities still being marketed at the center include spaces of 6,000 square feet, 22,183 square feet and 16,947 square feet on the lower level with rear parking.
Nearby, another grocery store, Patidar Supermarket, recently opened in February at the former Buy Buy Baby location, at 711 Route 28 in Bridgewater, off the Somerville Circle.
