Lithium-ion battery fires can produce harmful toxic vapors endangering the health and safety of our fire responders.
We are asking residents with electric vehicles to place an emergency emblem indicator on the exterior window of the garage where the vehicle is being stored. The emblem will serve as a warning to emergency responders that the structure man contain an electric vehicle and charging system.
The stickers are being provided free of charge by the Borough of Bound Brook.
