Nonprofit Board Effectiveness Workshop

From Somerset County Business Partnership:The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) will present another educational and informative “Business Builders Breakfast” on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the Somerset County Park Commission Headquarters, 355 Milltown Road, Bridgewater, New Jersey.

In addition to a delicious catered breakfast and a networking opportunity with decision makers at business of all sizes, “How to Become a High Performing Nonprofit Board” will provide insight into the working of productive nonprofit boards and and how to populate those boards with effective members. Topics to be covered in the interactive discussion include the life-cycles of nonprofit board governance; characteristics and common obstacles of high-performing boards; recruitment and reappointment best practices; board chair leadership and succession; and philanthropy.

Presenter will be Dennis Miller who has authored five leadership and nonprofit industry books including Moppin’ Floors to CEO. He is a nationally recognized strategic leadership coach and executive search consultant with more than thirty-five years of experience working with nonprofit board leadership and chief executives across the country. In addition, he is a sought-after motivational speaker, retreat facilitator, and leadership performance coach.
