Somerset County Man Charged With Distributing Child Porn
Police reportedly found multiple devices at George Wohar, Jr.'s North Plainfield home with child sexual abuse material.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A North Plainfield man was charged after police say they found child sexual abuse material on electronic devices in his home.
George Wohar, Jr., 62, of North Plainfield, was charged with second-degree distribution of images depicting the sexual exploitation and/or abuse of a child, and third-degree possession of images depicting the sexual exploitation and/or abuse of a child, announced Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
McDonald said that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office of numerous tips involving images of Child Sexual Abuse Material associated with various electronic service providers.

An investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations/Computer Crimes Unit confirmed that the various electronic service providers containing these numerous images of child sexual abuse material were all associated with Wohar, Jr.
On June 25, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office detectives, along with officers from the North Plainfield Police Department, executed a Somerset County Superior Court-ordered search warrant at Wohar Jr.’s home.

As a result of the search, electronic devices including phones and a tablet were seized from the
residence for further computer forensic examination. A search of these devices revealed multiple
images and files containing child sexual abuse material, said McDonald.
Wohar Jr. was arrested without incident at his residence in North Plainfield. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing in this matter.
