O.J.Simpson Has Left The Building

O.J. Simpson is paroled in October 2017 just in time for Halloween

It's June the 12th, 1994, the air is cool an sweet in Brentwood, California. In the distance a faint wail of a dog can be heard but it's probably nothing to worry about. Nothing too terrible could happen here. It's simply not allowed. but on Bundy Drive something did indeed happen. Something disturbing and horrific. As blood ran down the sidewalk of a pretty condo and the metallic stench of blood filled the otherwise aromatic air, two bodies laid, butchered to death. The man accused was found not guilty despite an insurmountable mountain of evidence, and then, he ran out of his cell as fast as he could back home, to Brentwood.

Convicted of Armed Robbery

This man you see was very good at running.

He ran for 11,236 yards while playing in the N.F.L. It was a longstanding record which would eventually fall just as his all American "good guy" image would fall. It did in fact fall in a hotel room at The Palace Station", in Las Vegas, Nevada. O.J. Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and although he tried to run again, he failed. He was cuffed around his ankles and wrists, sentenced to 33 years, and he shuffled back to his cell where he would spend nearly a decade until he was granted parole in July 2017 at the age of 70.
He was housed at Love lock Correctional Center, in Nevada, an ironic name since despite the overwhelming amount of evidence against him in his murder trial. A guilty verdict in his civil trial resulting in a judgement to pay the families of those two murdered victims $33.5 Million, he still claims he loved his ex-wife and did not commit those heinous acts for which he was accused.

Released in October, 2017

So in October, 2017, prisoner #1027820 will run again. This time he will run to his home in Florida which he carefully chose due to the state's Homestead Exemption Law. Living in Florida he will not be forced to sell his home to help satisfy his civil judgement. This combined with various other Federal and State laws which exclude assets from forfeiture toward the same end, Mr. Simpson has avoided paying his debt as adroitly as he dodged tacklers during his N.F.L. career. All of this legal shelter, combined with the $25,000 per month N.F.L. pension he receives, also untouchable by his creditors, makes for a happy homecoming. It makes one wonder about the justice system in this country.

Jailed in 2008 prisoner #1027820 walked into Lovelock and immediately began receiving special treatment. The normal sized jail cell, shared by 2 men, is 80 sq. ft. His was 125 sq. ft.; 25% larger than most. And the families of the two murdered victims watched. He received a plum job taking care of the gymnasium and even managed the prison baseball team.

And the families of the two murdered victims watched. He was allowed to go to the head of meal lines and was handled with "kid gloves" by the guards and prison officials. And the families of the two murdered victims watched again.

Now, the jail house doors will open wide for him. Hands will be shaken, final autographs signed, and perhaps some hugs exchanged. And the families of the murdered victims will watch again, however, this time through tears for those loved ones they had lost, as now former prisoner #1027820 morphs back into "The Juice" and runs again. He will run as fast as his 70 year old arthritic legs can carry him. Straight south to his safe haven in Florida where the golf courses are as green as the cash he will stash in the pocket of his designer golf shorts.
We've watched O.J. Simpson run for touchdowns playing football, and through airports in commercials. Who would have ever envisioned a run such as this? #Oj Simpson #October 2017 #The Building
