Camden, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (42-22, 88-46) clobbered the Camden Riversharks (27-37, 51-83) 9-1 Sunday evening from Campbell’s Field in the series finale. These two Garden State foes split the four game weekend set.
In the top of the second inning Somerset plated a pair of runs to take an early 2-0 advantage. Right fielder Jorge Cortes smashed a RBI double and second baseman Dan Hennigan stroked a RBI single.

Catcher Mike Albaledejo notched a RBI single in the bottom of the second inning to cut the deficit in half for Camden making the score 2-1.

Somerset added another run in the top of the third inning as designated hitter Cory Aldridge sliced a RBI single to increase the Patriots lead to 3-1.
The Patriots broke open the game in the top of the sixth inning as they sent 10 batters to the plate scoring six runs to take a commanding 9-1 lead which would be the final score. Catcher Adam Donachie hit a RBI single. Shortstop Angel Sanchez and left fielder Aharon Eggleston drew bases loaded walks. Third baseman Yunesky Sanchez recorded a RBI groundout while first baseman Jeff Baisley ripped a two RBI single.
Graham Taylor (10-5) earned the win tossing six innings allowing just one run. Ryan Kulik (2-11) suffered the loss allowing nine runs in five innings of work.
