17-Year-Old Boy Hit In Bridgewater Crash Friday

The teen was standing in between the landscape truck and the trailer when a van hit the back of the trailer, said Bridgewater Police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A 17-year-old boy is being treated for injuries after a van hit the back of a landscape trailer in Bridgewater on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

A van was driving south on Mountain Avenue around 3:10 p.m. when for an unknown reason it hit the back of a utility trailer that was attached to a landscape truck, said Bridgewater Police Captain John Mitzak.

The teenager was standing in between the truck and the trailer when the crash happened. Medevac was initially requested but called off by EMS on scene, said Mitzak.

The teen is conscious and alert at this time and is being taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick, said Mitzak.

The names of the driver or victim were not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation.

Mountain Avenue remains closed as of 4:20 p.m.
