Pedestrian On I-78 Hit By Car, Suffers Serious Injuries In Somerset County

The crash on Sunday night remains under investigation by police.

WARREN, NJ — A pedestrian on Interstate 78 was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries on Sunday night, said New Jersey State Police(NJSP) Sgt. Charles Marchan.

On Oct. 1 at 9:02 p.m., NJSP Troopers were called to a motor vehicle crash on I-78 West at milepost 37.4 in Warren Township.

Based on a preliminary investigation a Chrysler passenger car was driving west on I-78 when it hit a pedestrian in the roadway, said Marchan.

As a result of the crash, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at the moment.
