Primary Election Results Certified In Bridgewater 2023 Council Race
The Somerset County Clerk certified vote totals in local elections this week, including in the Bridgewater Township race.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The final vote tally for the primary elections were certified on Monday, June 19, by the Somerset County Clerk. This did not change the projected election outcome.
Bridgewater voters headed to the polls on June 6 to cast ballots. Their choices this year included seats on the Township Council along with the Mayoral seat.
Both the Mayor and Council races for Republicans and Democrats were uncontested in the primary election.

With all districts reporting, here are the certified results, according to the Somerset County Clerk's Office:
Bridgewater Township Primary Candidates For Mayor:

- Matthew Moench - Republican* - 1,197
- Saad Toor - Democrat - 1,225
Bridgewater Township Primary Candidates For Council:
- Timothy Ring - Republican* - 1,166
- Michael Kirsh - Republican* - 1,170
- Marguerite Baranowski - Democrat - 1,228
- Gigi Ksalak - Democrat - 1,197
Moench and Toor will now run for the one, three-year term as Mayor in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Ring, Kirsh, Baranowski, and Ksalak will now run for the two three-year township council seats in the general election.
Currently, the Bridgewater Township Council is currently made up entirely of Republicans.
