Repeat Shoplifter Took $1K In Items From Bridgewater Target: Cops

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Somerset woman was charged with repeatedly shoplifting at Target in Bridgewater, according to the police blotter.

On Jan. 24 at 3:17 p.m., Melissa R. Stani, 43, of Somerset was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $695.13 from Target located at the Bridgewater Promenade, police said.

During the arrest it was discovered that Stani also shoplifted from Target on Jan. 6 and Jan. 9. Total value of merchandise shoplifted on these two days was $1,148.10, police said.

Stani was charged with three counts of shoplifting and taken to the Somerset County Jail.

Other Bridgewater Police blotter items:

On Jan. 20 at 6:56 p.m.: Larry Lopez, 27, of Bronx, New York and Daisey Maribel Urgiles, 29, of New Rochelle, New York were arrested at Macy’s located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Lopez was charged with shoplifting and Urgiles was arrested for providing a fake name to the police. Lopez shoplifted toys and clothing valued at $246.87. Lopez was issued a summons. Urgiles was released on a summons and both have a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 25 at 4:26 p.m.: A 34-year-old Bound Brook man was arrested for shoplifting at the Target on Promenade Blvd. Gutierrez shoplifted an electronics valued at $119.90. He was processed for the arrest and lodged in the Somerset County Jail on an outstanding criminal warrant.

On Jan. 25 at 12:56 p.m.: A 40-year-old Bedminster woman was arrested for shoplifting at Target located at the Bridgewater Promenade. Medam shoplifted various items from the grocery department valued at $130.93. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 27 at 2:51 p.m.: Pamela R. Cherwinski, 49, of Bridgewater was arrested for shoplifting at Target located at the Bridgewater Promenade. Cherwinski shoplifted clothing and household goods valued at $219.88. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 28 at 6:37 p.m.: Brittany A. Orourke, 26 of South Bound Brook was arrested for shoplifting at Target located at the Bridgewater Promenade. Orourke shoplifted baby products valued at $331.76. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.
