Route 22 Crash Hospitalizes Driver In Bridgewater
The Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating the crash from Wednesday morning.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A driver was hospitalized with injuries following a crash on Route 22 in Bridgewater on Wednesday morning.
On June 19 at around 7:20 a.m., a crash was reported on Route 22 East just east of Chimney Rock Road in the local lanes.
The crash involved a 2015 Chevy Equinox, operated by Zachary Severini, 26, from Franklin, said Bridgewater Police Traffic Safety Sgt. Daniel Hennessey.

The Chevy Equinox drove off the roadway, onto the grass on the southern side of Route 22 and hit a utility pole., said Hennessey.
Members of Robert Wood Johnson Rescue Squad responded to the scene to render aid to Severini, who suffered injuries to his head, neck, back and legs. Severini was taken to Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating the crash and no charges have been filed at this time.
