Dump Truck Flees Scene After Crash On Route 22
A crash involving a dump truck and a car caused a lane closure on Route 22 in Bridgewater Thursday morning.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A crash involving a dump truck and a car caused a lane closure on Route 22 in Bridgewater Thursday morning.
At around 9:34 a.m. on Aug. 29, a GMC dump truck made a right turn from the left lane of Route 22 east near North Bridge Street and hit an Acura MDX that was in the right lane, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Sean O'Neill.
The driver of the Acura was not trapped and suffered minor injuries, O'Neill said.

The truck left the scene and was later found by police. The dump truck driver was cited numerous motor vehicle summonses. What the driver was cited with was not released.
As a result of the crash the right lane was closed until 11:20 a.m. when it reopened.
