Shelter Opens At Raritan Valley Community College
A total of more than 4,500 Somerset County residents are still without power as of Sunday morning, according to JCP&L and PSE&G.

BRANCHBURG – A shelter for Somerset County residents has been opened at Raritan Valley Community College due to the extended power outages as a result of Winter Storm Quinn and the expected cold temperatures over the next few days.
A total of more than 4,500 county residents are still without power as of Sunday morning, according to JCP&L and PSE&G. Some are not expected to get power back until Tuesday night.
The shelter was opened by the Somerset County Office of Emergency Management in partnership with the American Red Cross on Saturday night.

The shelter is located in the college's physical education building at Route 28 and Lamington Road in North Branch. Parking for the shelter will be in Lot 2 in front of the West Building; then follow signs for the Physical Education Building.
Residents in need of transportation to the shelter should contact their municipal Office of Emergency Management. Links to municipal websites can be found at www.co.somerset.nj.us/towns.
