Somerset County 4-H Fair Will Open Thursday Following Rain Closure
Attendees should note that this decision may be re-evaluated if the weather changes.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The 76th Annual Somerset County 4-H Association's annual 4-H Fair is back on after a rain closure on Wednesday.
Somerset County 4-H announced Wednesday around 5 p.m. that the 4-H Fair will be open Thursday, Aug 8 starting at 10 a.m.
There will be no parking on the Fairgrounds. Attendees should take the buses from the Raritan Valley Community College parking lots 1, 2, and 5, which will be running all day.

Should the weather change, this decision may be re-evaluated.
The fair was forced to close on Wednesday "due to weather and with concern for the safety of our 4-H families, fairgoers, animals and other 4-H projects," said the 4-H.

The three-day fair held annually at North Branch Park in Bridgewater is set to return 2024 on Aug. 8 through 9.
The Fair provides hundreds of 4-H club members an opportunity to showcase the skills that they have acquired while in 4-H through a variety of exhibits, demonstrations and competitions. The three-day Fair is the county’s largest event and attracts more than 40,000 visitors.
Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:
Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 75. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 71. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 82. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.
Friday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 a.m., then showers likely. Low around 71. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
