Democrats Lead Over Republicans In Somerset County Races, Per Unofficial Results
The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners, Sheriff, and Clerk elections are contested.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County has multiple contested races including the County Commissioner, Sheriff, and Clerk.
As of midnight, the Democratic candidates were leading over the Republicans, according to unofficial results.

- Melonie Marano - Democrat* - 56,516
- Amber Murad - Republican - 49,444
Somerset County Sheriff
- Darrin Russo - Democrat* - 57,431
- John Sheridan - Republican - 49,355
Somerset County Clerk
- Steve Peter - Democrat* - 56,653
- Suzanne Maeder - Republican - 50,001
A total of 266 out of 267 districts are reporting or 99.63 percent, according to the Somerset Couty Clerk.
These initial tallies do not represent the final election outcome. Mail-in ballots can still arrive by Nov. 14. A final certification of the results must be done by November 26.
