SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday for 2017, it's a fair bet that a lot of folks will be turning it into a four-day weekend.

Montgomery: The 2017 Montgomery Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks will be held at Montgomery High School, 1014 Rt. 601 in Skillman on Thursday, June 29 with activities starting at 6 p.m. (Rain date is July 6). Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information.
Saturday, July 1

Hillsborough: The Hillsborough Independence Day Celebration and fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 5 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School. The celebration will include an afternoon and evening of entertainment, family fun and a food tent followed by Hillsborough's Fireworks show at night. Monday, July 3
Franklin: Franklin Township's Independence Celebration will be on Monday, July 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9:15 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset. (Rain date July 7). CLICK HERE for more information.
Tuesday, July 4
Bridgewater: The Somerset County Parks Commission will host its Independence Day Family Festival on July 4 with food, fireworks and fun in Bridgewater. The free event is from 6 to 10 p.m. and will be held at North Branch Park in Bridgewater. Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information.
