Somerset County Police To Host National Night Out
Police K9s, SWAT equipment, and more will be available for children to see during the event on Tuesday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The Somerset County Sheriff's Office and Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday.
"We’re excited to be hosting National Night Out with Prosecutor Robertson at the Somerset County Historic Court House this year to help build and foster relationships with the community we are tasked to protect and serve," said Somerset County Sheriff Darrin J. Russo. "Residents can bring their kids to be fingerprinted for their safety, meet our K9 team, and see our new car designs."
The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Somerset County Courthouse grounds off Main Street in Somerville.

In addition, for the first time, Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter and Surrogate Tina Jalloh’s offices will be taking part in National Night Out with staff on hand to provide information and answer questions about their services to the public.
The Clerk's office is also offering half-price passport photos inside the Administration building with any new or renewal passport application. Additionally, younger residents can get sworn in as a "Junior Clerk" after learning more about the office's services.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes camaraderie and understanding between law enforcement and the community to make our neighborhoods a safer, more caring places to live.
