Somerset Man Solicited Nude Pics Of Juvenile In Exchange For Drugs: PD

RARITAN, NJ — A Somerset man was arrested for soliciting nude photos of a juvenile in exchange for drugs and money, announced Raritan Borough Police Chief Thomas Fisher on Wednesday.

Joshua Hrabec, 32, of Somerset, was charged with providing obscene material to a juvenile, endangering the welfare of a child and as a fugitive from justice.

An investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division revealed on Nov. 23, 2023, Hrabec had contacted a juvenile through a social media account.

During numerous conversations, Hrabec solicited nude photos of the juvenile in exchange for narcotics and money. Hrabec had also sent a nude photo of himself to the juvenile, said Fisher.

On July 22, an arrest warrant was issued for Hrabec and he was taken into custody at his place of employment in Raritan.

It was then discovered that Hrabec had a warrant for his arrest issued by the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland.

Hrabec's 23 past arrests in Cecil County include multiple burglaries, theft, and indecent exposure, according to Cecil County Sheriff's Office.

Hrabec was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
