Held on the grounds of Bridgewater YMCA, the program gives team members the opportunity to practice their sport and hone their skills in a safe environment as the country continues to battle the COVID-19 crisis.

Somerset Valley YMCA Gymnastics has 73 gymnasts who traditionally practice at Somerville YMCA. The team is led by certified professional gymnastics coaches and compete year-round in YMCA and USA-sanctioned meets. Although games, meets and competitions have been put on hold for many competitive sports, participating in team sports has benefits for children that occur outside the playing field. Being part of a team helps young athletes develop their endurance, skill, physical ability and mental stamina that is built from dedicated practice. Team sports also offer a supportive and wholesome social environment that encourages excellence, teamwork and camaraderie.
