Teen Pinned Underneath Car At Bridgewater Mall 'Expected To Recover'
The 17-year-old Watchung teen who was hit and pinned under a car and airlifted to a hospital on May 30 is recovering, said police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A 17-year-old, who was hit and pinned underneath a car at the Bridgewater Commons Mall and then airlifted to a hospital for injuries last week is "expected to survive," said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.
"Our officer spoke to the victim who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover," said Lamey on Monday.
No charges have been filed against the driver at this time. This crash is still under investigation, said Lamey.

On May 30, just before 9 p.m., Bridgewater police went to the third level of the parking deck at the mall at 400 Commons Way for a pedestrian hit by a car, said Bridgewater Police Sgt. Daniel Hennessey.
Police found a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta with a pedestrian, later identified as a 17-year-old juvenile out of Watchung, pinned underneath, said Hennessey.

With the help of local firefighters, the car was lifted off of the teenager, who was alert and oriented. The teen was then airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick to be treated for injuries, said Hennessey.
