Tennis, Pickleball Programs Coming To Bridgewater For 2026
The Township Council approved a $60,000 contract with the Somerset Hills Tennis Association to manage youth and adult recreation programs.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Tennis and Pickleball programs are coming to Bridgewater for residents in 2026.
The Township Council recently approved an agreement with the Somerset Hills Tennis Association, LLC to provide tennis and pickleball instruction. The total cost for these services will not exceed $60,000.
Township officials confirmed the programs will operate at no expense to the municipal budget.

"It's my understanding that this will most likely not cost the town anything," said Council President Joan Geiger.
"It will not cost us anything," said Councilman Timothy Ring. "People who sign up pay a fee to participate. The fees cover it, but we still have to enter into the agreement. We have to approve it."

The costs will be paid from the Recreation Trust Fund. This fund is established specifically from registration fees collected from program participants.
The township used a competitive bidding process and on Feb. 18, they received one sealed bid for the tennis and pickleball instructor and staff services.
The Somerset Hills Tennis Association submitted a bid of $85 per participant for spring and fall sessions. The vendor also submitted a bid of $75 per participant for summer mini camp sessions.
Residents interested in the upcoming sessions can expect further details regarding registration as the 2026 season approaches.
