Threat At Bridgewater-Raritan High School Fueled By Rumors
A threat at the high school prompted a police response on Friday in Bridgewater after rumors among students "perpetuated this false alarm."

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A threat toward the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School was reported on Friday prompting a police response.
Superintendent Robert Beers said the district was informed of the potential threat toward the high school late on Friday morning.
The Bridgewater Police Department was notified and collaborated with high school personnel to investigate the claim. The investigation determined the threat not to be credible.

"Rumors among the student body perpetuated this false alarm," said Beers. "No students were ever in harm's way, and the day commenced as scheduled."
Beers said the district "takes all of these allegations seriously and will continue to work collaboratively with our law enforcement partners in the case of a threat against the school."
