Truck Hauling Chocolate Chip Cookies Overturns, Fully Engulfs In Flames On I-287
Two tractor-trailers crashed into each other on Interstate 287 in Bridgewater early Friday morning.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Two tractor-trailers crashed, causing one to overturn and become fully engulfed in flames on Interstate 287 in Bridgewater early Friday morning.
At 2:35 a.m., New Jersey State Police(NJSP) Troopers went to a crash on I-287 south at milepost 13.2 in Bridgewater Township.
Based on preliminary investigation, a crash happened between two tractor-trailers on I-287 south, causing one tractor-trailer to overturn and become fully engulfed in flames, said NJSP Trooper Christopher Postorino to Patch.

The tractor-trailer that overturned was hauling chocolate chip cookies. The second tractor-trailer was hauling fresh food products, said Postorino.
Finderne Fire Department went to the crash and extinguished the fire.

There were no reported injuries on scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, is always looking for volunteers.
Volunteers are offered complete protective gear, free training, LOSAP (Length of Service Award Programs), a pay-per-call incentive, a life insurance/disability plan, and an in-house gym.
