Water Main Break Closes Library, Somerset County VoTech

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A water main break in Bridgewater causing a loss of water pressure in the area has prompted multiple buildings to close on Thursday.

The water main break is currently being addressed by NJ American Water on North Bridge Street just south of Hoagland Court, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.

The roadway is open but only one lane. The northbound lane is closed off and officers are alternating traffic in the southbound lane.

Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School at 14 Vogt Dr. in Bridgewater is closed on Oct. 5.

The Bridgewater Library at 1 Vogt Dr, Bridgewater is closed on Oct. 5 through 4 p.m. with a tentative reopening of 4 to 8 p.m.

Somerset County’s Richard Hall Community Health & Wellness Center including Zufall Health is also closed on Thursday.

All appointments on Oct. 5 have been canceled, and clients should contact their providers to reschedule.
