Window Smashed, Purse Stolen From Car Parked At Duke Island Park
Bridgewater Police also reported making multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated and shoplifting recently.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A car was reportedly burglarized recently while parked at Duke Island Park, according to the Bridgewater Police blotter.
On June 26 at 1:25 p.m., a resident of Whitehouse Station reported a burglary to her vehicle that was parked at Duke Island Park.
When she arrived back at her vehicle at 3:25 p.m., she discovered her vehicle window had been smashed and her handbag was removed from her vehicle, Bridgewater Police report.

On June 25: A resident of Easton, Pennsylvania parked her vehicle at 55 Corporate Drive at about 8 a.m. When she returned to her vehicle at around 7:30 p.m., someone had stolen her bicycle that was attached to the rear of her vehicle. The bike is described as a black Thule TZ Pro XT.

On July 1 at 1:54 p.m.: Shane J. Storm, 43, of Easton, Pennsylvania was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from the Home Depot at the Promenade Shopping Center. Storm shoplifted drills worth $408. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.
On July 1 at 2:23 a.m.: Matthew R. Thiel, 24, of Easton, Pennsylvania was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Robinson Court. During the investigation Thiel was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DWI. He was issued the following summonses: DWI and reckless driving. He was released with a pending municipal court appearance.
On July 4 at 10:19 p.m.: Patrick Burns, 23, of Staten Island, New York was arrested for disorderly conduct after being involved in a physical dispute on Woodlawn Avenue. He was served with a complaint summons and released with a pending municipal court appearance.
On July 6 at 7:33 p.m.: Paulina Cabrera, 31, of Plainfield was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Cabrera shoplifted several pairs of shoes worth $573. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.
On July 8 at 1:45 a.m.: Anival Rios-Yanez, 41, of Rockville, Maryland was stopped on Route 202 for motor vehicle violations. At the time of the stop Rios-Yanez was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DWI. He was issued the following summonses: DWI, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to exhibit insurance documents. He was released with a pending municipal court appearance.
