Woman Arrested For Burglarizing Cars At Raritan Train Station
Kimberley Mitchell, 40, of Plainfield, also gave police a fake name during the incident, said police.

RARITAN, NJ — A Plainfield woman was arrested for burglarizing cars at the Raritan Train Station on Thursday morning, said Raritan Police Chief Raymond Nolte.
Kimberley Mitchell, 40, of Plainfield, was charged with burglary and hindering apprehension.
On Dec. 14 at around 9:17 a.m., Raritan patrol officers were called to the area of the Raritan Train Station on Anderson Street for a report of a woman rummaging through several cars in the parking lot.

A NJ Transit employee in the parking lot at the time gave officers a description of the suspect, who was later identified as Mitchell.
Officers found Mitchell on the eastbound platform and arrested her. Proceeds from the burglaries were found by police on Mitchell and officers viewed surveillance footage of the incident, said Sgt. Everett Holt.

Mitchell also gave officers with a fake name, said Holt.
Mitchell was later taken to the Somerset County Jail and lodged pending a detention hearing.
"We would like to remind you that the best way to prevent a burglary to your motor vehicle is to lock your vehicle and remove all valuables," said Nolte.
