Woman Hit By Truck While Crossing Route 28 In Bound Brook, Hospitalized

The 34-year-old Bound Brook resident was trying to cross near Vosseller Avenue when she was hit by a Ford F-350 on Friday morning.

BOUND BROOK, NJ — A woman was hit by a truck while trying to cross Route 28 in Bound Brook on Friday morning.

On Jan. 28 at about 10:24 a.m., the 34-year-old Bound Brook woman was trying to cross the street at about 500 feet west of Vosseller Avenue when she was hit by a truck. The area does not have a crosswalk, said Bound Brook Police Chief Vito Bet.

The truck, a 2017 Ford F-350, was driving eastbound on Route 28 by a 44-year-old Bridgewater resident. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation, said Bet.

Robert Wood Johnson Paramedics, who happened to be driving by at the time, took immediate action.

The pedestrian was taken to RWJ New Brunswick with non-life-threatening injuries to her legs and head, said Bet.
