The owner of Woof Gang, Lorie Santos, is not new to the school community, she is a teacher at the Bridgewater Raritan High School.

Last year through conversations with Denise Goodhue and Annie Higgins in the special education department, they were able to find a way to use Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming of Bridgewater to support the special education students' development.

"It’s a family business, and my husband and I feel the importance of what these students have to offer: a diverse range of perspectives, unique talents, and valuable skills. Our family business has a strong commitment to inclusion, we want to contribute to a richer and more diverse society," said Santos.

These experiences offer students the opportunity to develop goals and skills for employment after graduating from the high school program.

The program could not exist without community partnerships which provide these valuable learning experiences through their individual and unique businesses to special education students. Consider offering a spot at your own business for this wonderful program.
