• DEP seeks applicants for 2026-27 AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassadors program (wrnjradio.com) — Budd Lake gets a direct shout-out in New Jersey’s AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassadors program, where volunteers have been testing local water quality and installing eel ladders. The DEP is now recruiting 23 new ambassadors and three source water protection ambassadors for the 2026–27 service year, offering stipends, benefits, and hands-on training in watershed protection across the state.
