• Burlington County announces plans for more road improvements (trentonian.com) — Burlington County has approved a $12.3 million plan to resurface nearly 28 miles of county roads, including Burlington-Jacksonville Road serving Burlington City and nearby townships. Work across 19 municipalities will roll out section by section, aiming to improve safety, reduce costly repairs, and keep everyday travel smoother for drivers throughout the county.
   

• Burlington County recruiting volunteers for crisis counseling program (trentonian.com) — Burlington County is recruiting local volunteers to train as Disaster Response Crisis Counselors who can support residents’ mental health after floods, storms, and other emergencies. No clinical background is needed, and selected Burlington County residents receive free state-certified training to provide emotional support, referrals, and chaplaincy services during future disasters across the county and New Jersey.
   

• Burlington County honors Evesham Mayor Jaclyn Veasy, new president of NJ Conference of Mayors (trentonian.com) — Burlington County Commissioners have honored Evesham Mayor Jaclyn Veasy as she becomes president of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, giving the county a strong voice in statewide discussions. Local leaders praised her work leading Burlington County’s most populous town, from open space preservation to public safety and economic development, and say her new role will help spotlight Burlington County’s priorities across New Jersey.
