Alleged Robber Hit 5 Banks In Essex, Including Roseland: Authorities
The Essex County man allegedly robbed banks in Roseland, Union and Orange, authorities say.

A Newark man has been charged with committing five bank robberies in Union and Essex Counties from August of 2015 to October of 2015, authorities announced on Wednesday.
According to the New Jersey U.S. Attorney’s Office, James Glenn, 59, of Newark, is accused of robbing the following New Jersey banks:
- Connect One Bank, Union, Aug. 28, 2015
- Hudson City Savings Bank, Roseland, Sept. 9, 2015
- TD Bank, Orange, Sept. 25, 2015
- Connect One Bank, Union, Sept. 28, 2015
- Santander Bank, Union, Oct. 16, 2015
Prosecutors allege that Glenn typically robbed the banks using notes that threatened physical harm and demanded cash.

Authorities charge that during the Sept. 9 robbery in Roseland, Glenn handed the teller a handwritten note that stated:
“This is a robbery… This is not your money so be careful… No alarms… No dye pack I know them… No one wants to get hurt so remember I know where you live.”

Authorities allege that Glenn repeatedly robbed the same Connect One Bank in Union, threatening the same teller both times.
Union Township police arrested Glenn in October of 2015.
The bank robbery charges each carry a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.
