WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Feel the need for speed in West Caldwell? Resist the urge when you get behind the wheel – or get ready for an expensive reminder, local police say.
The West Caldwell Police Department recently issued an advisory about speeding in the township.
“With the warmer weather and more people outside walking, the West Caldwell Police Department will be out enforcing traffic laws with a specific emphasis on speeding violations,” authorities said.
“If you are stopped for a speeding violation on a residential roadway in West Caldwell, you should fully anticipate receiving a summons,” police added.
“The speed limit on our residential streets isn’t a suggestion; it’s about protecting our neighbors, families and kids,” police continued. “Be the example. Set the pace. Drive 25. When you choose to slow down, others follow. They can only go as fast as the vehicle in front of them. That’s how we create safer streets, together.”
