2 Water Main Breaks In North Caldwell: See Local Impact (UPDATED)

North Caldwell saw its third significant water main break in the span of a week.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — North Caldwell saw its second and third significant water main breaks in the span of a week on Wednesday.

The borough issued the following advisory at 9 a.m.:

“The North Caldwell Water Department will be performing repairs to a water main break in the vicinity of 66 Brookside Terrace. Water service disruption is likely throughout the morning and into the afternoon. Please expect discoloration once water service is restored; run faucets until water runs clear. Thank you in advance for your patience as repairs are made.”

Another water main break took place later that day near Grandview School. According to a borough update sent at 2:40 p.m.:

"The North Caldwell Water Department will be performing repairs to another water main break near the intersection of Hamilton Drive East and North Avenue in the vicinity of Grandview School. Water service disruption is likely throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Please expect discoloration once water service is restored; run faucets until water runs clear. Thank you in advance for your patience as repairs are made."
