West Caldwell Workers Do Emergency Water Valve Repair, 'Discolored' Water Possible
West Caldwell workers conducted emergency water valve repair at the intersection of Sylvan Way and Jameson Place, authorities say.
WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The West Caldwell Water Department conducted emergency water valve repair at the intersection of Sylvan Way and Jameson Place on Wednesday, authorities announced.
“There will be vehicles in the roadway and possible roadway closure/detour,” the West Caldwell Police Department stated in a 10:39 a.m. email advisory. “Also there may be a temporary interruption of water services to several residences.”
West Caldwell police provided the following update at 6:20 p.m.

"[The West Caldwell Water Department] is continuing water repairs in the Sylvan Way/Nutting Place intersection. Residents may experience discolored water. Please be patient. This repair may last several hours. Notice will be sent when the repair is completed. If after being advised the repair is complete and you are experiencing discolored water, run your water until the discoloration clears."

"Road work completed on Nutting Place. Water department advises that residents may experience brown water temporarily and to run their water until clear."
