Caldwell Cop Earning A Reputation As ‘Top DWI Enforcer’

Officer William Roberts netted his 5th award in 7 years from Mothers Against Drunk Driving-NJ and the NJ Division of Highway Traffic Safety.

CALDWELL, NJ — A Caldwell police officer is continuing to earn his reputation as one of the “top DWI enforcers” in town.

Last week, Officer William Roberts netted his fifth award in seven years from Mothers Against Drunk Driving-New Jersey and the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety. The award honors Roberts for making “extraordinary efforts in the prevention of motor vehicle crashes through DWI enforcement.”

Roberts was selected by Sergeant Michael Pellegrino as the Caldwell Police Department’s top DWI summons producer for the calendar year 2018.

“Congratulations to Officer Roberts and thank you for your continued efforts in helping to make our roadways as safe as possible,” the CPD wrote.
