Caldwell PD’s Donated Drone Will Patrol Annual Street Fair

The Rotary Club of the Caldwells donated $5K to the Caldwell Police Department for a drone. It will be put to use at an annual street fair.

CALDWELL, NJ — The Rotary Club of the Caldwells recently donated $5,000 to the Caldwell Police Department to purchase a drone. And according to the club, the new piece of equipment will be put to immediate use at the annual Rotary/Kiwanis Street Fair.

On Tuesday, the Rotary Club announced that it made a $5,000 donation to sponsor the department’s drone, which will give local cops a bird’s-eye view of the area.

“The purchase of this drone will help the police in a wide variety of situations including providing needed security for the street fair,” RCC President Samantha Cordaro McCoy said. “We knew how important it was to fund such a worthwhile project and are hopeful that it provides benefits for years to come.”
