Caldwell Police Say Happy Retirement To Fred Arnold

CALDWELL, NJ — “Big Fred” will be missed, but not forgotten.

Recently, Sergeant Fred Arnold retired from the Caldwell Police Department after more than 22 years of service. Arnold got an enthusiastic “walk out” ceremony from his crime-fighting peers last week. (Watch the video)

According to the CPD, Arnold – who is also known by some as “Officer Fred” – had a special impact on area youth, working with 5th grade students in the local DARE and LEAD programs.

“Sergeant Arnold will be missed, but not forgotten, as his impact on the youth of Caldwell will last for years to come,” the CPD wrote. “We thank Fred for everything and wish him and his family a very happy and healthy retirement.”
