Caldwell Residents: What To Know About Gov. Murphy's Order To Reopen State Parks And Golf Courses

With Governor Murphy allowing state and county parks to reopen on May 2, we have been informed by the office of the Essex County Executive that Grover Cleveland Park, along with all other Essex County parks, will reopen at 8am this Saturday. We have been advised the following rules will be in place:
- Tennis- At this time no tennis, paddle ball, or sports of any kind will be allowed.
- No tennis allowed at private clubs.
- Unorganized Sports activities – No unorganized Sports shall be allowed in the parks
- Pick up basketball, kids playing football all prohibited
- The children's playground will remain closed.
- Parks are only opened for PASSIVE recreation only, and should be limited to half occupancy
- Face coverings and social distancing are required
We ask that all residents please follow these guidelines outlined by the County Executive for the safety of all who use the parks. Thank you.
